Karen and James Kantor of Rydal and Margate, N.J., announce the marriage of their son, Steven Kantor, to Jennifer Padley, daughter of Janette Padley of Bedworth, England, and Denise and David Padley of Leamington Spa, England.
The ceremony and reception took place on Aug. 11 at the Boathouse in Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
Rabbi Marcia Rappaport officiated.
Karen Cox and Sarah-Jane Ramsay were bridesmaids. Mark Kantor, brother of the groom, was best man. Attendants were Jackson Burke, David Cades, Jason Kobilka and Benjamin Weaver.
The signing of the ketubah was witnessed by David Cades and Sarah-Jane Ramsay.
Completing the wedding party were Deborah and Bernard Toll, grandparents of the groom; and Hilda and William Udall, and Sylvia Padley, grandparents of the bride.
Steven and Jennifer are the grandchildren of the late Lorraine and William Kantor, and Walter Padley.
Jennifer and Steven both studied at the University of Glasgow, but did not meet until three years later in New York City. Jennifer, a graduate of the Atlantic Acting School Conservatory, is an actor. Steven, a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, is a television producer based in New York.
After a honeymoon on an island in the Connecticut River, the couple lives in Brooklyn.
