Mark and Anna Keller of Philadelphia, and Ira and Susan Kauffman of Lumberton, N.J., announce the engagement of their children, Sara Lehr Keller and Dr. Benjamin Alan Kauffman.
Sara, a graduate of George Washington High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Philadelphia University. She is a designer at Mothers Work in Philadelphia.
Benjamin graduated from Rancocas Valley High School in Mount Holly, N.J., and Rutgers University. He earned a medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Benjamin is a practicing ophthalmologist at Eye Surgical Medical Associates in Northeast Philadelphia.
Sara is the granddaughter of Gary and Rosalie Cohen of Philadelphia, and the late Herbert and Rachel Keller, also of Philadelphia. Benjamin is the grandson of the late Sheldon and Dorothea Kauffman of Philadelphia, and the late Bernard Sokolick and the late Ann Sokolick of Cherry Hill, N.J.
The couple is planning a May 2009 wedding in Center City.
