Dr. Richard and Barbara Weiss of Elkins Park announce the engagement of their son, Dr. Daniel Jordan Weiss, to Deborah Kim Stone, both of Manhattan. Debbie is the daughter of Mr. Richard and Barbara Samuels, and the late Clement Stone of Chicago.
Daniel is a graduate of Clark University and the Temple University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in psychiatry at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y., where he is currently a member of the staff. He also completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry.
Debbie, a graduate of Duke University, earned a master's degree from the Pratt Institute. She works with children and adolescents as a creative-arts therapist in the department of psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan.
Daniel is the grandson of Rose Richman and the late Samuel Richman, and Helen Weiss and the late Edward Weiss. Debbie is the granddaughter of Emanuel Kost and the late Hilda Kost, and the late W. Clement and Jesse Stone.
The couple is planning a November wedding in Manhattan.
