James R. Fitzgerald, a retired FBI supervisory special agent who helped crack the Unabomber case, receives a framed gold leaf for the Tree of Life at Tifereth Israel. The leaf was a thank you for the presentation and book-signing he had at Tifereth Israel on Dec. 10, which benefited the synagogue. More than 100 congregants and guests attended the presentation on the Unabomber and other high-profile cases.
