The Jewish Plays Project and the Weitzman will bring the finals of the National Jewish Playwrighting Contest to Philadelphia for the first time. JPP, the nation’s most influential development company for new Jewish plays, will present its signature event on Independence Mall during the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of our country. GEMS AT THE J: HOW TO LOCATE FAMILY THROUGH GENEALOGY
Private detective and U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum volunteer Fred Blum has located 20 child survivors who were orphaned during the Holocaust. Fred will teach attendees some techniques he uses to locate individuals through genealogy, which will help researchers locate family, uncover distant relatives, assist in searching for heirs and find missing plantiffs, defendants and witnesses.
