'Scene' Contest: Get 'Lost' - and Sydney, Too!
It's TV at it's best - and it's all offered to the latest lucky "On the Scene" winner to take home and plop in his or her DVD player.
What will the winning "Scener" receive?
• "Lost," the complete first season of the smash ABC show, with oodles of extras on the seven-disc set, including unaired flashbacks and a featurette on the making of the pilot. The creators of the show, including guiding light J.J. Abrams, discuss why they do what they do in a special interview;
• "Alias," the complete fourth season of the Jennifer Garner-starrer, 22 episodes all on six glorious discs, featuring bonus interviews and a spin on "Marshall's World," but, alas, no information on Ben;
• "The Muppet Show," with that green puppet and his porcine girl friend, on a four-disc set of the first season that helped reshape American TV;
• "Jerry Seinfeld: Live on Broadway," a terrific DVD capturing the famous New York concert of the comic's "I'm Telling You for the Last Time" farewell to his longtime standards, all presented by HBO with a special all-star comedian cast of "mourners" - including "man in black" Richard Lewis - as Jerry buries his old material.
That's four DVDs, 18 discs - and dozens of hours devoted to the best TV has to offer.
To enter, send your name, address and daytime phone number (postcards only) to "Scene-DVDs," c/o the Jewish Exponent, 2100 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Entries must be received by noon on Nov. 4.
